Our founder, John Emerson, started the company after experiencing firsthand the devastation of Hurricane Ivan and the challenges of finding reliable restoration services. Owner & Lead Estimator
Jake is the Owner and Lead Estimator at ServiceMaster Restoration by EMCO, where he is deeply involved in every aspect of the restoration process. From initial assessments and estimating to hands-on work in the field and collaborating with insurance adjusters, Jake ensures that each project is completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency. With 10 years of experience in the restoration industry, Jake combines technical expertise, industry knowledge, and a personal commitment to customer care. He works directly with clients to provide accurate estimates and clear timelines, and leads the field teams to perform water, fire, mold, and storm damage restoration. In addition to overseeing projects, Jake also works closely with insurance adjusters to streamline claims and ensure a smooth, stress-free process for clients. Jake takes pride in not just restoring properties but also providing peace of mind to every customer. He is committed to guiding clients through the mitigation process with honesty, efficiency, and care—often becoming a familiar face from the first inspection to the final walk-through. Jake holds IICRC certifications in applied structural drying, water damage, odor control, fire, smoke damage, and mold restoration Jake stays actively involved in each project to ensure standards are met and expectations are exceeded.
Taylor Petrovic
CFO
Taylor serves as the Chief Financial Officer at ServiceMaster Restoration by EMCO. In this role, she oversees the company's financial planning, reporting, and risk management. Taylor also leads the day-to-day operations of the accounting department. She ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across all accounting functions. As well as overseeing the daily operations of the office and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Taylor plays a key role in keeping the workplace organized, efficient, and welcoming. Known for her attention to detail and problem-solving skills, Taylor manages everything from documentation/insurance paperwork to HR support and internal communications. She is often the first point of contact for both staff and clients, and her friendly, dependable approach helps create a positive office environment.

Joe is an Owner and Sales Representative at ServiceMaster Restoration by EMCO, responsible for building client relationships and connecting customers with the restoration services they need after water, fire, or mold damage. With a strong understanding of the restoration process and a commitment to customer care, he serves as a trusted point of contact from the first call to the final walkthrough. With a hands-on approach and a deep understanding of the reconstruction process, he helps guide clients through the final phase of the rebuild—ensuring quality craftsmanship. With over 40 years in the construction industry, Joe brings a unique blend of technical knowledge and customer service to the role.

John is a Lead Technician at ServiceMaster Restoration by EMCO, specializing in water, fire, and mold damage restoration. He works directly in the field to lead with cleanup, demolition, drying, and repairs—helping return homes and businesses to their pre-loss condition.
